Senior Symphonic Band

The Senior Symphonic Band is Highwood's senior performing group consisting of grade 10-12 students as well as grade 9 students who wish to audition. The ensemble performs regularly throughout the year as well as attends multiple festivals both locally and nationally, where it often been recognized for its excellence with Gold Awards and Adjudicator's Choice awards.

The ensemble meets every Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 PM until 5:15 PM to rehearse, and attendance is compulsory as students receive 5 Credits for performing in this ensemble.

Students performing in the Senior Symphonic Band will need to acquire a uniform from Mr. Stearn or Mr. Wiest for performances. It is the students responsibility to keep these in good condition and return them dry-cleaned before graduating in their Grade 12 year.
