Welcome back Highwood Band Families!

As you can see, we will be sending out communications through this new web page we've set up, in order to cut down on the number of emails everyone is receiving in this digital age.

We are excited to get the ball rolling this year, and with over 90 students in our 9-12 program, things have been very busy over the last week!

By now your son/daughter should have received an FSD38 instrument and rental form (if they are renting). The fee is $150 for the year or $15/month, and is paid via Edsembli. Please return the rental forms to Mr. Stearn or Mrs. Zuehlke in the front office. A digital copy of this form is available on the Forms section of this website.

Please take a look at the Calendar/Events section of the website to see when our upcoming events are. We have a planned Fall Concert on October 17th, as well as a Saturday Retreat at Highwood on October 5th, where we will be bringing in guest clinicians, conductors, and providing some food and activities as a way to start off the year.

As many of you know, we are travelling to California this year with over 40 students in April. We are also looking to plan a complimentary trip/excursion sometime in the spring for families not travelling to California. Fundraising efforts will begin soon, so please keep an eye out on the website for that information.

Finally, we are looking for any parents who would like to get involved as volunteers to help us deliver and plan programming to our continually expanding program. If you have a child entering grade 9 this year, it is a great time to get involved. Please contact Mr. Wiest at Wiestd@fsd38.ab.ca if you are interested.
